Geographic Structures

 

Malaysia , comprising of Peninsula, Sarawak and Sabah, is located in the region of South East Asia. The Peninsular Malaysia (Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Perak, Kedah, Penang, Perlis, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang) is bordered on the North by Thailand, on the South by Singapore, on the West by the Strait of Malacca, and on the East by South China Sea. The states of Sabah and Sarawak occupy the northern third of the island of Borneo, and are bordered on the North and West by the South China Sea, on the East by the Sula and Celebes seas, and on the South by the Indonesian province of Kalimantan.

 

There are 3 Federal Territories in Malaysia, namely Kuala Lumpur, Pulau Labuan, and the latest government center, Putrajaya. Among these 3 territories, Kuala Lumpur is currently the busiest city, serving as the international gateway to Malaysia.

 

Hot and Humid Climate

Malaysia 's climate, except in the high mountains, is hot and humid throughout the year. Average daily temparatures vary from about 21 - 32 degrees celcius.

The currency of Malaysia, is traded as Ringgit Malaysia (Ringgit Malaysia), with the sign of RM. In terms of ISO recognition code, Malaysia Currency is coded as MYR. Currently the exchange rates are USD1=MYR3.63
