All about Malaysia

Government

Malaysia has a federal government based on the 1957 constitution of the former Federation of Malaya, and including safeguards for the special interests of Sabah and Sarawak. It has been amended several times; amendments in 1974 and 1984 respectively established Kuala Lumpur and Labuan as federal territories. In general, Malaysia is comprising of Federal Constitutional Monarchy while practicing democratic system.

 

Multi-racial Nation

Besides, Malaysia is also well known as a harmony multi-racial nation, with the 3 major ethnic groups, namely Malay, Chinese, and Idian. Each community is respecting each other's cultures, customs, and believes; establishing a single identity - Malaysian. Thus, the slogan of "Peaceful Malaysia" is a perfect match.

 

Languages

Due to enrichment of wide racial varsity, Malaysia is filled with various unique cultural activities. In terms of spoken languages, even though Bahasa Malaysia (Malay language) is recognized as the national language; but, English and Chinese languages are commonly spoke everywhere. Besides, various Chinese dialects, such as Hokkien and Cantonese, are commonly practiced as well.

 

With the out-standing and great leaders, Malaysia is constantly moving towards the status of developed nation, and on the track of realizing the Vision 2020. Undoubtedly, the excellent performance of Malaysians in various fields and arenas are well-recognized across the world.
