Perhentian Island
The two Perhentian Islands are ranked as one of the most beautiful islands in the world…a
fascinating paradise for snorkellers and divers or just for lazing on one of the white sandy beaches for beach lovers. The Perhentian Islands (Pulau Perhentian in Malay) lie approximately 10 nautical miles (19 km) offshore the coast of northeastern Malaysia in the state of Terengganu, approximately 40 miles (64 km) south of the Thai border. It consists of two islands, Perhentian Big Island and Perhentian Small island. Both islands are surrounded by beautiful palm-fringed sandy beaches and crystal-clear turquoise-blue sea.
