How to Get there??

Transportation by air

To get travel to Tioman by air, there's two way to do it.

  1. With Berjaya Air, which flies 48 seat Dash-7 turboprops from Kuala Lumpur direct to Tioman Island (60 min; approx USD60 one-way; daily). Discounted fares may be available if booked in a package with accommodation. The plane take-off at Subang Airport.
  2. Take a MAS or AirAsia to Kuantan Airport. From Kuantan Airport, take a bus(recommended) or Taxi to Mersing.

Transportation by boat

Usually visitors arrive by ferry from Mersing on the mainland. The ferry can be categorised as:The largest, slowest (approx 2 hours) ferry is the most economical; the smaller and faster catamaran costs more; the smallest and fastest (approx 1 hour) outboard speedboats are the most expensive option. Bluewater Express around USD30/ticket, USD10/child ticket.
